"Best-in-Class companies identified by Aberdeen surveys and interviews were found to be twice as likely as others to manage deployed services proactively.
This demonstrates and underscores how solutions such as Tevron's CitraTest APM can help companies to maximize the business value of their IT investments
by monitoring application performance proactively and comprehensively."

How do you know whether your application is available, responsive & healthy? |
|
When it comes to determining the health of an application, there are only two metrics for consideration: Response Time &
Availability Metrics. For many years, response time & availability metrics have been included in design objectives for application development and have been included in service level agreements. Yet, many organizations cannot measure the response times being achieved at the locations where the application "user" would be located. You might have often heard "the response time on your machine looks fine from here" whenever a user might have complained to helpdesk for slow application response time. |

CitraTest APM - A single Solution to Support for All Applications |
|
Most IT organizations have hundreds of different applications to support, ranging from legacy applications, client server applications, web applications, to home-grown custom applications. To date, the majority of APM vendors only offer products for specific, popular applications. As a result, several different APM vendors and products are typically used and many internal applications go unsupported. Until now, there hasn't been a single product available that can keep up with supporting all the different applications, development environments and protocols that are used by both legacy and modern systems. The cost of purchasing and maintaining several different products to support a total application environment would be simply too high. CitraTest APM solves this dilemma for Microsoft Operations Manager. |
 |
| |
|
Proactive, Consistent, & Real |
|
CitraTest APM periodically executes synthetic transactions, taking response time measurements along the way. By automating the driving of an application just like an actual user at the client end, CitraTest APM can ensure that all critical aspects of an application or service are available and working within limits and if not, generate an alert. Using the synthetic transaction model provides the benefits of being both pro-active and consistent. For example, an application can be actively monitored if the actual users try to access it, thereby alerting IT operations before any threat could arise. |
| |
|
How does CitraTest APM support ALL applications? |
|
CitraTest APM uses the same elements as a user when interacting with an application: visually examining the desktop and responding to changes, driving the keyboard and the mouse. To interact with an application a user must look for a remembered image on the desktop, move the mouse pointer or cursor to it, type keystrokes or click the mouse buttons, wait for the next event to occur on the desktop. CitraTest APM works in almost similar fashion. |
| |
|
CitraTest APM utilizes a very advanced & proprietary image recognition system to replicate the actions of an actual user in terms of visually analyzing every aspect of the desktop. Just like an actual user, CitraTest APM does not need to "see" an image in exactly the same location each time. CitraTest APM will 'look' at the entire desktop and when an image needs to be clicked, CitraTest APM simply moves the mouse from its current location to the desired image and issues the appropriate mouse action, just like an actual user. CitraTest APM also automates keystrokes in the same way that a user types on the keyboard. The simplicity of using just these 3 elements, desktop visualization, keyboard and mouse, is what gives CitraTest APM the unmatched control & flexibility to operate with ANY application that is accessible from a Microsoft Windows based PC. |
| |
| Leave Behind No Application |
|
Amongst all the monitoring solutions, only CitraTest APM can actively monitor every application that is accessible from a Microsoft Windows PC. This monitoring system can undertake
Citrix Monitoring,
XenServer Monitoring,
XenApp Monitoring, Tarantella Monitoring,
Terminal Services Monitoring, and RDP Monitoring. |
| |
| Non-intrusive |
|
In IT Service Management, unlike other popular
IT monitoring solutions, CitraTest APM is totally non-intrusive to the production environment. Absolutely no elements of CitraTest APM are installed on any application or database servers, thereby making CitraTest APM fully non-intrusive and independent of the application environment, just like a real user. |
