From legacy applications, to client server applications, to web applications, to home-grown custom applications - most IT networks have numerous applications to support. The majority of APM vendors only offer products for specific, popular applications. As a result, APM vendors and products are typically used and many internal applications go unsupported. There hasn't been a single product available which can support all different applications, environments and protocols that are used by both legacy and modern systems. CitraTest APM periodically executes synthetic transactions, taking response time measurements along the way. By automating the heavy of an application just like real user at client end, CitraTest APM can ensure that all critical aspects of an application or service are available and working within limits and if not, they generate an alert. Using synthetic transaction model provides the benefits of being both pro-active and consistent. For example, the IT teams can set-up active monitoring where they receive alerts before the actual users access application.
CitraTest APM - Supports ALL applications
CitraTest APM uses the same elements as a user when interacting with application: visually examining the desktop and responding to changes, driving the keyboard and driving the mouse. To interact with an application user must look for remembered image on the desktop, move the cursor to it, click on mouse buttons, and wait for next event to occur on desktop. CitraTest APM works in the exact fashion.
CitraTest APM utilizes very sophisticated and proprietary image recognition system to replicate actions of real user in terms visually analyzing every aspect of desktop. Just like real user, CitraTest APM does not need to "see" an image in exactly the same spot. CitraTest APM will "look" at the entire desktop and when an image needs to be clicked; it simply moves the mouse from its current location to the desired image and issues the appropriate mouse action, just like an actual user. CitraTest APM also automates keystrokes in the same way that a user types on the keyboard. The simplicity of using just these elements, desktop visualization, keyboard and mouse, is what gives CitraTest APM unconditional power and flexibility to operate with ANY application that is accessible from Windows based PC.
